My name is Tracey Cleggett and I have had the pleasure of teaching at Hannans Primary since 2004. I began my teaching career 30 years ago out in the desert at Cosmo Newberry Remote Community School, where I worked for 4 years. I have also taught at Boulder Primary and had my own tutoring business for a few years before joining the amazing crew at HPS.
I love being in the classroom and I strive to create a welcoming space where students feel a strong sense of belonging. I love to see students fully engaged in learning activities that challenge them to progress and be successful with their learning. I encourage students to use their character strengths to build positive relationships by showing respect and empathy for themselves and others.
Outside of school, I love to travel with my family to as many parts of our amazing country as we can, finding camping and fishing spots in remote and beautiful locations. I enjoy photography and how it allows me to capture these amazing landscapes and experiences. My favourite trip was spending a year travelling around Australia in our camper trailer in 2016. It was the most amazing experience, and I still dream of packing up and heading off again!
