Striving for Excellence is our school motto and is the way that we approach each aspect of school as we strive to provide the best education for each child at Hannans Primary School. We strive to provide a positive learning environment that will enable our students to develop and appreciate the academic, creative, physical and social skills necessary to become a successful and worthy member of a changing society.
We have a strong emphasis on creating a culture of shared responsibility for their learning development and work with them to develop their independent and collaborative learning skills, as well as developing the character strengths that have long been a focus at Hannans Primary. Overlaying this are the long-standing and central priorities of student wellbeing, positive education and mental health.
Hannans Primary School is an Independent Public school that caters for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. It was established in 1992 to cater for the demand of an expanding Kalgoorlie-Boulder community. The school embraces all members of our community and strives to maintain a welcoming environment where parents, the School Board and the P and C work together with us to provide the best outcomes for our students.
Teachers are encouraged to work collaboratively across phases of learning to develop, manage and implement their learning programs. Staff are supported to develop their leadership skills. We believe that strong, positive and shared leadership is the cornerstone to improving student outcomes.
