A little about me: I have just moved to Kalgoorlie from Kondinin, a small Wheatbelt town 300kms south-east of Perth, where I taught in a Kindy, Pre-Primary, Year 1 and 2 multi-age classroom for three years. Before Kondinin, I worked in Perth metro for 7 years alongside raising my daughter who graduated from university last year. I love adventure and am excited to continue my teaching journey in Kalgoorlie. Thank you for all your warm welcomes – I feel privileged to be part of your child’s education.
My Classroom Learning Philosophy: I believe children learn best through a balanced approach. In our classroom, explicit instruction is used to teach key skills and concepts. Alongside this, students are given opportunities to consolidate learning through collaboration, purposeful play and questioning. Learning experiences are designed to build independence, curiosity and confidence, while still providing clear structure and support.
