Diana Clarke
Year 1
I am teaching Settler’s Class in Pre Primary, Junior Block. I have lots of experience working with young children, beginning my career in a preschool environment back in 2009. I then completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching, specialising in ages 3-7. I have worked in schools in the U.K. with children ranging in age from 4-7. I am passionate about learning through play and developing early literacy and numeracy skills. I meet children where they are and understand that children’s learning and development is not linear. All children have their own unique skills to be celebrated and embrace and make progress at different rates. I am a very inclusive practitioner who can make adaptions to help all children succeed at school in their own special ways.
I have recently arrived in Kalgoorlie from the U.K, having previously lived in Australia in my early twenties and I’m thrilled to be back! I have a daughter who is 19 and lives in Sydney, and I’m hoping my little dog Ted will be joining me soon from London. The Hannan’s team, children and parent’s have made me feel so welcome and supported already and I look forward to becoming an integral part of the school community.
