Hello, my name is Caprice (Miss Twort) and I am thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten this year at Hannans Primary School. I am early childhood trained with a specialisation in special education.
With four years of experience working in a Reggio Emilia-inspired setting and two years working across K-6, I have gained profound knowledge on the early years and the importance of providing children with a sense of agency. I am passionate about the concept of the ‘100 languages of children’, which is why I aim to provide various methods of expression through artwork, provocations, play, visuals, music, movement, and much more!
Outside of school, I live an active and adventurous lifestyle. My time spent overseas has been full of life-changing experiences that have unexpectedly enriched my teaching approach. Travelling has broadened my perspective, helping me recognise that every child who walks through the door, truly brings their own unique and invaluable set of experiences. In my classroom, you can expect to find a safe, nurturing space that fosters belonging, independence, cultural appreciation, and personal growth.
