Kathryn Hannam

Hi, my name is Kath Hannam and I am the Kindy teacher in Explorers Kindy. I have been teaching for 28 years, beginning my career in Norseman where I lived with my husband for 5 years. My first 7 years of teaching were spent working with Children with Special Needs before becoming an Early Education teacher in 2002. When I’m not at school you will find me at the netball courts or footy field cheering on my favourite teams.
I have 3 children, all of whom attended Hannans Primary School, where I have been teaching for the past 23 years. My eldest 2 boys have moved to Perth for further study and my daughter still attends Eastern Goldfields College here in town. I am passionate about public education and have a special connection to Hannans Primary School.
My love for Early Childhood Education came about when I had my own children. I have a strong belief in the implementation of learning through play and in building positive relationships with children and families. I think if we support each other, we will achieve the best outcomes for your child.
