Beth Turner
Year 1
My name is Bethany Turner, and I am teaching Year 1 in Room 7 for the remaining part of 2022.
I have spent most of this year so far in Kalgoorlie, although I am new to Hannans Primary School and have relocated from Mandurah.
I studied a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at Murdoch University with a huge focus on Literacy and English Education. I am seeking fulfilling experiences that broaden my teaching beliefs and practices.
Year 1 is an incredible fun and exciting year, with so much progress. I am looking forward to teaching and learning in a safe space that supports the constant success and growth of our students and staff.
Resilience is a foundation of how I teach my students. I praise my students for making mistakes and learning from them. I praise them for having a go even if they are unsure. Most importantly, it is about the real-world view of how life can be hard at times, but we are all strong.
When I am not inside my classroom, I am taking the time to enjoy all the new experiences that come with moving to a new town. I love spending time in my own space reading, watching TV and enjoying my very small but perfectly sunlight backyard.
I am located in Room 7 within the Middle Block
